I'm a photographer based in Vancouver, Washington, making photographs of live music throughout the Pacific Northwest.
I'm drawn to heavy, experimental, and independent music, and the people and places that make those scenes what they are. Most of the shows I photograph are ones I'd be attending whether I had a camera or not.
I work with both film and digital, exploring different ways to capture the atmosphere, movement, and physical energy of live performance. My work emphasizes mood, texture, and presence over polish.
My photographs exist somewhere between a record and a memory — less concerned with exactly what happened than with how it felt to be there.
I'm always happy to hear from artists and venues, whether it's about a show, a collaboration, or music I haven't discovered yet.
